Using Red Cell for goats-

Red Cell is a vitamin, iron and mineral supplement. Originally a horse supplement many use for anemic goats, unthrifty animals or bottlejaw, and to build red blood cells. Also used for show animals.

Where to get:

Red Cell ? farm/feed store

Lixitinic ? at vets without prescription

Geritol ? any pharmacy or most grocery stores

Feed RED CELLŪ by mixing into daily feed ration or orally with a dose syringe.

Dosage:

Adult goats 5 ? 10 cc?s twice a day

Kids ? 3 ? 5 cc?s twice a day.

For show animals 5 cc?s daily for 5 days prior to shows. Will give a luster and sheen to coat.

Our vet suggested Red Cell as a supplement a few years back when we brought in a goat with parasite problem to the farm. We had great success and believe in the product. Recently it was brought to my attention that the Red Cell and Lixitinic supposedly contain liver factions, meaning we are feeding animal by products to meat animals.

The Red Cell formula has been changed and no longer includes the meat factions. It actually states on the new containers ?contains no beef product ingredients?.

Vitamin & Minerals Red Cell Contains:

Iron (Fe)

Copper (Cu)

Cobalt (Co)

Potassium (K)

Sulfur (S)

Magnesium (Mg)

Manganese (Mn)

Zinc (Zn)

Iodine (I)

Selenium (Se)

Vitamin A

Vitamin D-3

Vitamin E

Vitamin B12

Thiamine

Riboflavin

Vitamin B6

Menadione

Folic Acid

Biotin

Choline

d-Pantothenic Acid

Red Cell should not be fed to copper sensitive animals such as sheep. If you supplement selenium you will also need to monitor the selenium amounts.
