CSA: Community Sponsored Agriculture

In 2005 FoxDog Farm tried a new method of marketing and supply utilizing a CSA model. In this model, interested parties agree to buy a 'share' of the farm's produce. Usually the share equals an amount of whatever is ripe and in season equal to what a family of 4 might eat in a week. The shares are distributed weekly. Depending upon when a family joins the CSA they either pay an upfront amount at the beginning of the CSA, or pay weekly upon delivery of the share.

This model was highly successful for us, and so we have decided to expand upon it for 2007; adding more shares and a few more types of produce.
